Since its inception in February 2013 the Type 1 Diabetes Optimist Club (T1DOC) has generated over $32,000 of direct financial benefit for JDRF, ADA Diabetes Camps, and other T1D community projects. Additionally T1DOC members have contributed a large pool of volunteer hours to various T1D activities.

The T1DOC is structured as a Denver area wide “Optimist Club” and benefits from being part of Optimist International, a large international service organization primarily dedicated since 1919 to a mission of providing hope and positive vision to children.
